that small box plastic is a resonator.. it is like an expansion chamber. when the intake valves are closed, air is bounced back which prevents more fresh air to enter the carb..

if you remove the resistor, your idle will be erratic, because RFI interfers with the CDI. aftermarket htw are resistive in itself, IMHO, that is why there is no need for a resistor.. i have a question bro, there are some htw that have ground strap, what is it for?

try mo rin magpalit ng needle. pang 2 stroke na kasi ang needle ng 30mm. hanap ka ng pang 4stroke na needle ng uma. mahirap hanapin yan, naghahanap din ako dati.. kung wala, try mo yung pang tmx na needle.. or pang oko or keihin.

kung yun yung hinihinging main jet sa set up mo, yun na talaga ang size na kaylangan ilagay.. pero para sakin, masyado malaki ang 30mm na uma sa setup mo.. 30mm is usually for around 62mm bore more or less.. kahit 26mm carb lang, pwede na.
