 I'm still confused. It'll surely burn a hole in pocket if service every 1K. Please advice and confirm guys.

yes and no! which do you think would burn a bigger hole, a burned up blown engine or servicing it every 1k? if you change your oil after more than 2k, smell the oil you just took out. if it smells burnt then guess what, your burning your engine. and also, try this, after taken your old oil out of the engine, get a coffee paper filter and pour your oil into it into a container underneath the filter, after it's all drained check the filter, if there is any small black pieces kinda like small grains of coffee, or even metal partials. then you may see the difference. I know oil is suppose to be good for 5000 miles. but after looking at my oil just after 1 klm. that's black and very thin, it makes me glad that i change it that much.

1 kilometer to a mile = 0.621
5,000 miles to Kilometer = 8,047.

Now if anyone dares, ride your bike for 8,000 klm and then check your oil.

Emm... what you is scary enough bro but wanted to correct one of your sentence that as per my understanding fully synthetic EO can last upto 4000 Kilometres and not Miles depending on the thickness of EO as well.

Of course 4000 Kilometres is also a very long period. Thats why the mechanics adviced to service after 2000 or 3000 Kilometres and not longer than that. What do you think bro Goff?

My friend in the states uses Full synthetic on his bike and it's stated that it's good for 5,000 miles as a standard. As well as being a dealers recommendation.

But my point was, what is more important, blowing your engine, or changing your oil ever 1 to 1.5 k, klm's

I got your point well bro. I guess I've gotta service early. Hehehe... Thanks a lot bro for your advice. Prevention is better than cure I guess. Sorry bro if I sounded adamant earlier.

but i tout full synthetic isn't good for daily use s it has a very low viscosity level? it sure gives u a smoother ride but it'll cause ur block n piston n all the other parts to b 'eaten' up rite? i'm certain about tis for cars but for bikes i dun noe

 Wow is this true? Can the experts here confirm on this? If yes, I wouldn't want to pay extra for the Fully Synthetic EO then...

what i do with my oil filter is i re-use it, after 1k i clean it out with kerosene, let it dry, then change oil, re-install the filter and it's good for another 1k. then i change to new. so i try to get 2k out of the filter.

heheheh... bro lc don't misunderstand.. the reason wy i'm asking tat question coz, i don't know anything(expert category) about biike maintenance... wat i know just change eo regularly at the nearest w'shop.. eo type?based on shopper recomend, ....heheheheh

my 135 now just 590km, still far to get 1k km...hhuhuhuu :( and really far away to touch 3k km.... :(

but thinking bout it semi synthetic cost approx RM30-40 n full synthetic cost approx RM90-100... so if v change eo every 3k km for fs n if v change eo every 1k km for ss then it comes out to almost the same price... so y not juz get an oil change every 1k? haha... my thinking la

wow, i'm using 5100 oso but i do my eo change every 1k km, n ur fren does it every 5k km? but eo change period definitely will differ depending on mods done oso... i used 2 have my eo change every 2-3k km but after i've done all my mods i start changing it every 1k km... n the condition of the eo wasted from my bike is the same s last time when the change is done every 2-3k... hope u guys understand wat i'm saying, heh

Bro kaku, did you change your oil at 500klm? It's a recommendation to do it, i remember when did mine, i have silver metal pieces in the oil and the filter. it may not happen to everyone, but it was like that with mine. and my cousin has a Crypton, he had the same thing at 500klm.
