question : i understand the idea is to direct and create air jet from the squish pad area.. that way unburned fuel can create chaotic swirl from the 'pit groove'.. why only 2 ? not on each sides of the squish pad ? the largest area is near the inlet valve.. can we make it 2 ?

as mr singh says, for 4stroke motorcycles. 1 grooves on each side is more than enough. from the pics, the intake valves with biggest space with one groove is more lets the eagle fly properly ;) heheh

but again, its really up to you if you want to try two grooves
