Thats Fu_king terrible that some shell stations do that shit, my friend is in charge of quality control here in metro manila, ill let him know that this BS is going on up north and also in other asian countires, giving shell a bad rap, thanks for the heads up. I just Hit the 4k mark about to have my bike serviced tom under the warranty, using Shell Advance 4T again LoL

is it okay if we use car engine oil for our bike? i mean the viscocity is more or less the same?
Certain automobile oil is OK for motorcycle but not all. Usually, the diesel oil is fine for motorcycle since it usually does not contain friction modifier that can slip the wet clutch. It is best to stick with motorcycle oil since it is formulated for wet clutches.

NO!!!!, automotive motor oil is not Ok for your engine on your T135, it is not a 4 stroke oil.
It can or will cause your engine to burn and your exhaust to have white smoke. this will cause engine damage. It is not a recommended oil for your motorcycle use.

This subject was talked about several times before. Please, take the time to read through the threads for more information.

Ok guys, ride safe. and please follow specific requirements for your bike if you want it to last for a longer time.

Peace and ride safe.

mineral based oil is good for breakin period you can change it when your odo reading reaches 500kilometers ..i think synthetic based oil is still good for 1,500 to 2,000 kilometers if im not mistaken , but some says you can only use synthetic based oil on a certain odo reading correct me if im wrong

Changing a full synthetic oil such as Castrol, Motul or Repsol at 2,000 Km is a waste of money. I run Motul Etech 10W40 to 5,000 Km with no problem, verified by oil analysis. I have also run Castrol R4 Superbike oil to 5,000 Km with no problem. Make sure you routinely run the bike at highway speed for 20-30 minutes once a week to burn off any moisture. Run good gasoline and make sure your air filter and oil filter are clean.

guys according to my mechanic fully syn change its viscousity fast rather than a mineral base oil. thats why its only use for racing.. for long term use its not reccomended. now thats up to you if you want to use it for a long period of time.. right now im also using fully syn. and im going to change aft 500km and use mineral base.. i dont want to take the risk to what might happen if i use it for a long time.. hehehe.. Ride safe guys!!!

well i have been using full synthidic oil for almost three years, i haven't had any problems with the oil.I always heard that minural oil was bad for 4 strokes under 250cc. My cousin is a Head Yamaha Machanic, he dosen't recomend mineral based oil at all for the T135.

well, it really depends on your budget and your preferance, I like useing the ELF 10w50 full synthedic, it works great and i haven't had any trouble with it like i did with the Shell full synthedic. Shell started to burn my clutch. as for semi syn. hummmm, not really sure whats out there.

DO YOU HAVE A CLEAR EXPLANATION WHY MINERAL BASED OIL IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BIKES WITH UNDER 250 CC DISPLACEMENT AND ESPECIALLY TO OUR T135?

IF THAT IS THE CASE, THEN THERE SHOULD BE NO MINERAL BASED OILS FOR SALE IN THE MARKET BECAUSE OF ITS EFFECT. WHAT EVER IT IS.

I THINK ITS JUST YOUR COUSIN'S GUESS BUT NO REAL PROOF ABOUT THE REAL EFFECT.

I DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE HERE, I'M JUST CURIOUS.

CHILL OUT!

I don't have a clear explanation, I am just advised from personal experance and from my cousin who works for Yamaha racing.
