Engine starting problem

Hi all, I have some prob with my 135LC.

1. Whenever I start engine in the morning, I cant start without pulling the choke and after the the engine starts, I have throttle it for a while as it seems like the oil is not flowing as I feel that even if turn the throttle to half, it still doesn't flow. so I have to be doing it several times.

2. Whenever I start the engine anytime, the engine starts without any prob but the throttle as I said earlier seems like the oil is not flowing. I have to repeat it several time in order to get it normal.

Is this normal for all bikes? Between, I'm using Silkolene Pro 4 plus 10w50 full synthetic EO.

I did the Air/fuel mis screw 2 1/2 turns as bro Goff adviced when I said my bike was jerking. Before setting this, the bike was fine and normal. Could it be because of this setting? Can anyone help me.

hey bro, i have just started to have something kinda like that too. it's like even if the choke is on the engine sounds like it's still choking, right? I think this is where we need to do a proper carb cleaning. I have my a/f setting at 3 full turns now. i have better performance after the engine has warmed up. but at first start in the morning, it sounds like it's kinda the same with yours. we will see what the other members say, but i think it's a carb cleaning that needs to be done.

I pull the choke when starting and after the engine starts, I push it back bro. Yes, the engine performs better when its warmed up. My bike is just 6 months old. So fast need carb cleaning? 1st I thought it was the TPS prob but then the TPS warning light never blink. Anyhow, we'll see if other members have the same problem.

it won't matter if the bike is new. i saw at the dealership here in Angeles City, a Sniper with only 1 klm on the speedo. and it was in for a new clutch and plate. it was damages from the factory. so it won't matter if the bike is new. it might have a problem, or the carb might be dirty from the quality check thats suppose to be done from the factory if they even do them. even my bike had a problem at first. after one month from getting my bike i checked my spark plug, it had gone bad. i changed it to NGK iridium and then brought the stock plug to the dealer, the head machanic said it happens some times.
so your carb might be dirty from the factory, or they might be a problem with your car's jets. that might be possible too.

Emm...possibilities there are...I checked in of the service manual and found that they suggest air/fueld mix should be 1-5/8. I dont know what it means and how much is the mesurement as well. You know about this bro?

yeah, i know about it, thats a factory stock setting. my cousin works at the Yamaha dealership in Brunie, he worked on my bike this past x-mas, he said the stock setting are just the minium setting you can go. he tuned my engine for me and it ended up with a full three turns in the A/F. but i don't have the stock air filter on my bike so.

Hehehe...whats the special one bro? If its super cheap and super effective, then I can install it too on my bike.

hi bro, u can solve this problem by set the airfuel to 1 5/8 which is normal setting. I have faced this problem before, 2 and half turn. same as u said, im afraid with to rich airfuel set, will cover ur piston with carbon. and it will reduce ur performance quick after 2 or 3 month. if u wanna going for more fast, try change the pilot, main or carb. then do the set again, depends on spark plug color.

i don't think so, cause, when my setting were stock i had more carbon on my plug than i do now, and my performance has inproved alot more now than it was in stock. it's been 3 months with three turns now, and before that it was at 2 1/2 turns for almost a year.

darkkey, how did u set to 2 1/2 turn air fuel mixture? 1 5/8 = 1 turn + 1/2 turn + 1/8 turn. how to turn 1/8? full turn divide by 8 section.
Okay now I understand the turns. Will try out and see if there is difference but I scared then my bike would be like jerking or lunging forward when rev down.
