good day bros, today i got my high temp sensor blinking after riding about 5kms only. so brought out my service manual for details. accdg. to the manual it had some sort of electrical problem, because i ruled out it is overheating considering i only rode it 5kms.it blinks fault code1 so it means my tps is somehow malfunctioning or disconnected, this is accdg to this thread..Does anyone encountered this fault code1? dont know what to look for but i'll give it a try coz yamaha is about 30 kms from my place...

possible your bike is still on stock CDI, aftermarket carb

still stock carb n stock cdi.. i opened my fairngs last night and found out that the wires of the tps going to the engine were a bit loose, so i pressed it and use glue gun to keep it in place, and presto blinking is gone...thanks to this thread it save me from countless guessing and some big bucks too. the pattern of which the temp gauge panel is blinking tells me where to look at, and sure is the tps is the culprit..For now, my bikes' back on the road...

the pattern in which the red light blinks indicates a fault in your elctrical parts,a different fault codes for each pattern, in my case fault code 1{a semi steady red light followed by 5short blinks)indicates the tps is disconnected..Good thing our bike is equipped with self diagnosing system,we'll know what to look for..

so if you rulled out overheating, the thermo sensor could be disconnected or malfunctioning..thats for fault code3

hi good day to all.. im newbie here... my case is that i switch to bigger carb like keihin and of course i did removed the tps since the carb i bought does not support tps... my question to sir / masters, do the thermosensor and fan will still gonna work? im using stock cdi still.. only carb modified... i just wrapped the tps socket by somekind of an electrical tape...

same problem before ..i have no knwledge of my 135lc before .. im afraid that the blinking light means that my engine is overheating ..i dont think my fan is also working even if my engine is really hot and the blinking light is really bothering .. my solution ?

i practically cutted the positive wire of the radiator fan and conected it to the ignition switch wiring .. so that it would only work when the ignition key is on .. i also installed a switch for the fan so i can turn it on and off anytime ..

and about the lights .. they are still blinking which is really annoying .. my solution again ?
i removed the bulb of the blinking light .. after that .. NO MORE PROBLEM ! its BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN :D

blinking is not a sign of overheat, overheat sign the light will continous to light without blinking. Iif it is blinking maybe there is a problem with your TPS or wiring in your t135

just read page 3-2 in your manual for more details
