Help - Fuel Gauge Problem

guitarizta

Hi, this morning i ran out of gas without me knowing it, as my fuel gauge is not working it is stuck in the middle of F and E in the indicator.

Q: What is the common cause of this so that I can check it?

it is located at the tank check the connector in the floater clean it if its needed to
Done checking everything sir, I even did the troubleshooting guide in the service manual everything is within specification except the floater inside the tank.
I move the floater in up position for about 5 minutes i hold it in that position the fuel level gauge in the panel should react and go to F but did not and vice versa.

The suggestion of sir buster about the resistor i did not yet check.

If my fuel sender unit assy is defective, will the part of yamaha mio will do for replacement?

Update on my problem: Admin traxx is 101% right! Apparently the one of the resistor on the odometer is disconnected/cut so I re-solder it to place and finally my fuel gauge is functioning. Thanks to all of your replies...
in few months time same problem will appear...

your always in full tank?
