since you drain the coolant in radiator.
then it would be better to drain the reservoir also..

coolants are cheap these days so why not change it also...

:)

Traxxas, I got a question, i watched your video, and it's good. but i got a question.

I know how to change coolant in car's, and i know a motorcycle isn't a car. but the concept is almost the same. after you drain the coolant from the block and the radiator, don't you need to crank the engine with out turning it on to flush out the coolant from the water pump too? if i am not mistaken it may retain some coolant in the pump when you drain it.

Right?

I am just thinking that if you flush it, you should try to get all the old out and then replace it with new. and not mix old with new, that's all.

thanks bro.

@goff
no need bro.
if you drain the coolant, it will remove all the coolant there.

the coolant drainbolt is the lowest area where the coolant goes thru
so by gravity, it will remove all the coolant in your engine.

most of the aftermarket engine coolant has to be diluted with water. which i believe is a down side, we all know water causes rust no matter where it is or what it's being used for.

I haven't had the chance to find it yet. but if you can ask Yamaha-motor Philippine's authorized shops about the Yamaha coolant if it needs to be diluted. maybe that would be what is best.

nice video traxx. I cant find yamaha coolant here in my place, only castrol coolant concentrate. The question is, its direction of use is to use 50%water and 50% coolant, is it ok to pour it only the coolant without adding water. the coolant is not that actually thick so it can circulate in the engine easily.
I need your opinion with this. TIA.
