How to drain your radiator coolant

CarroTT

Super Veteran
lemme give u guys some simple tips bout coolants
since my job is to make coolants and test them

1) NO, just simply removing the drain screw on ur T135 or Vixion will not drain out all the coolant. Still got some in ur radiator and pump and pipings

so how ? either u remove all the radiator parts
or do what i do, flush it with distilled water many many times

on the T135, there is a small lid to remove the coolant on the bottom of the reservoir
on the Vixion, have to remove the resevoir and tilt it over to pour it out

2) Heed my words UNLIMITED EXPRESS. More coolant and less water DOES NOT MEAN ITS BETTER. Please dun ever mix ur coolant with less water than the 1:1 ratio, unless of course u intend to put it in a heavy container truck engine or u live in an EXTREMELY COLD weather ie: arctic pole

why ? baaahh, i'll spare u of the boring chemistry, no one likes it anyway except me

3) do MIX your coolant in a clean bottle first before filling in the radiator

i m using Q8 antifreeze (no, the company i work for dun make it, so i m not promoting this brand )
30% premix with Spritzer distilled water

so you mean carott, It should be 1:1 ratio and distilled water should be use. how about tap water? Thats what I'm thinking, I will mix it first in a bottle before pouring it into the radiator. should I fully fill it up? Is the excess coolant on the radiator will go to the reservoir? In the direction of the bottle, I should drain the old coolant completely before pouring the new. how much coolant I need to mix so I can only mix the estimated volume. nothing is wasted. I need your expertise guys. Its my first time to do it. I am avoiding errors here. Thanks again...

mix more lar, like 1.5L bottle
u shud fill up radiator and reservoir
after riding for sometime the level in ur reservoir will go down a bit coz of air bubble removed
den u nid to add some more

hmm...the bike's radiator is made of aluminium right?so it would not rust even if we use normal tap water with the coolant?..one more thing to clarify my confusion, the flush nut is the single screw just below the exhaust (at the cylinder area near the cylinder's "135 cc" number),am i right?thanx

ihmo, guys

whatever brand of coolant your planning to use, follow the instructions, that´s it..

because the first who knew the mixture is the manufacturer..,just base on my experience too strong coolant or not following the ratio is not good too it can destroy most of our sealing in cooling system specially in pump area, that´s why i´m not using coolant pure water only, bec. coolant is not allowed in circuit before, i don´t know now anyone?

just a cents of my opinion,

quick question,

what's the best coolant to use? i'm gonna have my first tune up in yamaha 3s maybe three weeks from now and the technician adviced me to change the coolant as well. my bike is around 10,000+ kms in the odometer. i'm gonna have my first tune up around 12,000+ kms.

thanks in advanced
