I ordered a front fender yesterda and got it today in a nice square box, not even a quarter of a kilo in weight, so the bellypan shouldn't be heavy at all and should cost peanuts, that is if its carbon like my fender, then it should be light. If its plastic, its gonna weight a bitch.

fiberglass parts is just fiber(fiberglass) and two chemicals mixed together(catalyst and i forget..hehe)the molding process is the hard part...and perfecting the shape with filler and sandpaper...

and fiberglass can be very itchy...and dangerous when inhaled....

been able to work with fiberglass too,in airplanes though....its cool but itchy...and you need to have moulds(to shape/form)..building the moulds is the tricky part...

fiber have 3 main parts 1-fiber mat CSM(chopped strain mat),wooven(looks like carbon fiber but not black),tissue(looks like CSM but very thin and light weight like face tissue),COMBMAT(just like carpet in your car,but when it dried this thing hard like a steel),Carbon Fiber(ofcoz everybody knows it),kevlar(not the same used to make kevlar vest, but sometime they used the same to make boats) 2-resin(has two types 1=PT(this resin when hard its veeerryyyy strong like steel) 2=WPT(this resin on the other hand when dried not hard enough, just like jumping board that u can find at swimming pool) 3-the hardener/catalyst/activator(use very little amount of this damn chemical, just use 1% of resin volume,if u add more than 1%,the mixture will explode,or cause fire in your workshop) thats a little bit about fiber for now, joint me for next class...heheheheheh
