How To Use Road Lane Properly

tabi1

I tend to ride more middle of the road while riding in the Philippines as well just so the car cant squeeze in just as Traxxas suggests. Just keep in mind that you want to be seen by the driver in front of you and not in his/her blind spot. I have taken a few classes in the states from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and they preach to stay in the left part of the lane and back at least 2 seconds so you are seen. Riding in the middle gives you both routes of exit so I agree that has a dual purpose in the Philippines but I wouldn't do it in the states. Occasionally i would see newbies riding in the far right side of the lane behind cars and I knew the cars in front had no idea he was back there as he was in their blindspot.

More rider education should be stressed IMHO.

Sir Traxxas keep the education coming!!!

Always use the middle lane when riding.
Just a suggestion: LEFT of the middle of the lane..... Why? because when and if the road is wet from rain or Aircon evaperator dripping water the middle of the road will be as slippery as ice because of oil from cars and trucks. The only safe place on the road will be left or right of the middle. Atleast to the left of the road lazy or unskilled drivers in cars and trucks may look in the mirror close to them (drivers side) and see you or that light on your bike that your friends laugh and think it's not night and you turned it on by mistake.... BUT you will be seen and that is what matters.
