How to adjust your YSS shock for T135
I have am using YSS rear shock for T135 the model is MO302-205
after modding my swingarm, i decided to tinker with my yss shock
and see what i can do...
i realized the shock height can be adjusted!!!!
good news, no need for me to use lifter.
This is the standard model with external reservoir
However any of this yss shock models can be adjusted.
They have the same bottom part which is threaded.
This is the shock with the coil spring already removed.
untighten the nut so that you can unscrew the bottom part
of the shock.
Once the bottom part is removed, you will have 20mm thread.
you can adjust the nut depending on you.
i think the safest would be maximum 10mm
that would be the center of the thread.
after you adjust the nut, screw back the bottom part.
the total length of the height is now 215mm.
the original height is 205mm.
tighten the nut back then your good to go!
Heres the final look, just put back the coil spring back and enjoy your much lifted T135
Also by adjusting the height you also increase the shock travel length,
this is the play of your shock up and down.
The stock shock travel length is 20mm.
after adjusted, the shock play is now 30mm .
that means your shock can play more up and down and can now accept more bumps.
You can also adjust the Preload setting (the big threaded part in the upper portion) since you now have more shock travel length.
Preload is the softeness of the shock.
Hope that helps
