I read a thread some weeks ago that tps intervened in the ignition timing thru the stock cdi thus limiting the performance of the bike to attain a more fuel efficient system (or long life engine i guess!) rather than unleashing the full potential of our engine. i personally think that is why people who use aftermarket cdi and carbs never experienced the sluggishness.
as for the pump accelerator (squirt behavior), is this designed to give us more power or again, for economic reason?
there are more technology incorporated in our T135, but the way I look at it, it controls the power rather than giving more..
hi bro
for me installing tps is better than having no tps at all.
the catch is you need to set your tps correctly to take advantage of it.
why tps is better?
newest high performance bikes like bigbikes and motocross have TPS
because it provides the best ignition timing to provide more power.
consider it its the eye of the cdi to see whats happening outside.
users who upgrade to bigcarb gives more power because its a big carb.
if you install TPS with the big carb, then thats much better power
stock cdi has limit to 9200rpm only, unlike aftermarket cdi it doesnt have limit (your engine will now be your limit)
for the accelerator pump, if you can get a bigcarb with accelerator pump
i advise you to get it. Pumper carb versus without pump, it really makes
a difference believe me...
on carb without pump: quick snapping of throttle from idle will hesitate (its like your engine is dying)
on carb with accel pump: quick snapping of throttle from idle is OK
i will be modding my carb to have a accel pump using the stock carb parts
