months ago i replaced my stock cdi with a namban racing cdi...as we all know this rcdi has only one socket so the fan and the tps will not function anymore so we decided to put a switch so i can turn the fan on whenever i want to or when ever needed,,, is there any bad effect with this modification?

there will be a poor distribution of the current and it will affect the power distribution of your rcdi . and our bikes are battery operated...

ah..so pedeng ito yung dahilan kung bakit nasisira ang batt ko?tsaka minsan nagloloko yung kuryente?pano po pala dapat gawin kung single socket ang rcdi?

Mine doesn't have any bad effect. In fact it is more practical for me whenever im in traffic I can manually switch it on as I want and switch off as I go. Only thing is you have to attentive hehe!

I'm using namban too( fat yellow) ... I did place a switch under the throttle for ease of turning on & off the fan...its a bulb swith found in ordinary hardwares, although my mecanic advised me to install a relay from the fan to the temp sensor so when the temp increase the relay will turn on the fan, but for now the switch works fine.... for my long drives i use stock cdi cuz the racing cdi is only good for racing or fun rides 1 hr max then rest the engine & cdi.. heres some pics ...

Again, my mecanic suggested to use the racing cdi only for racing (short time use) cuz for daily use or long trips he said could damage the current delivery and the bike... I dont kno if dats true but i take his advise, thats why i most of the time use the stock cdi..but i love using this namban cdi... the bike feels strong & torque
