Ok, I deleted everything I wrote here because the issue has been resolved.

In general I had a miscommunication with a local shop.

So I'm dropping this. The person saw what I wrote and responded right away.

imo-if you have issue like this as long as you can settle that outside the forum.then do it...
don't let your reputation goes down the line

Yeah you're right. Hopefully I don't dissapear.

He just emailed me now. Said he got the parts a month ago and I should go and pick them up.

Thing is, he emailed me less than a month ago saying he'd pay me back. If he had the parts then he would have told me he had the parts and not he'd pay me back.

Yeah, like you said, it might not be a good idea for me to go over there.

Maybe I should delete this thread so I don't get killed. Over a few thousand pesos. What do you think?

You're well within your right to get what was owed you.

However, before going to his place, you must first take all precautionary measures. Bring some friends with you and don't go there alone.

Better yet, just ask some locals to pick your things up from this guy's place.

He's less likely to act stupidly when dealing with a local. Just make sure you ask a reliable and trusted local.
