Almost all exhaust systems displayed here have pipes expanding
from under the oil filter out to the muffler.
Whereas previous designs of hi performance exhaust system have
pipes same size all the way to the muffler.
Is this the latest approach to exhaust design? As seen on MotoGP bikes?

Can someone please explain the reason for the difference between the old and new design ?

Internals, don't have an idea if it is the same..
