The stock sprocket here is a good brand I think. Lasts long and looks good. Solid as iron. Except the stock chain I had wore out within a matter of a month and a half of riding.

Could be cuz I wash the bike every weekend or what? Chrome plated chains are hard to find here. I mean its easy to find chains but "good quality performance chains WITH chrome plating is hard as hell.

Right now I've got a D.I.D. chain on my bike. The best I could find so far but its marine green in color...don't ask why!

here in malaysia, the bike comes out stock with RK-M chains n sprockets, a good local brand.

just bought n fitted a set of DID 415S roller chain and MCS sprockets
darn, i could not get better quality sprockets

Mio, where u find a green colour DID ?
i wanted the yellow gold ones but they dun carry it :?

Gold DID 415S sounds nice. Actually I did not realize this but it was green because of the thick can grease that was on the chain. What a mess it makes!

I can't remember the stock brand for the sprocket here but I have a collection of 'JomThai' sprockets which are pretty good. I guess they are the best in Thailand, it is Thai.

D.I.D chains last forever. THe stock chain was shit!! Hey does anybody know the brand 'Osaki' or Asaki'? They make some chains and sporckets as well I think, not sure, but heard bout them.

2 months of riding and cleaning comes to show that the stock chain I had got worn and rusted badly because of the cleaning. I never dry the chain or lube it after a bath.

thats weird. after i got my bike, like two baths, the chain looked like it was turning rusty. i put some ball bearing grease on it, haven't needed to do anything else to it. it's still good. just have to wipe it evey now and then. it is better to put greasse on it then ride a few klm's then wipe dry, ya it makes a mess, but i haven't had to do anything else to my chain. still factory.

Get some proper chain lubricant. May make a mess but its for the better health of our bikes. Is cooking oil good lubricant?

Yeah and it's a total mess and hard work to clean off the swing arm and chain guard and kickstand. Well I dunno about you guys' kickstands, but mine belongs to a TZR which is long due to the height of the bike. What a horrific mess!

i just chopped mine and made it longer. it works. but the first night i had the bike back it fell over, no one near it. i was sitting in a chair cooking. it just fell over. i think it was the uneven ground.

Oh, but don't make it too long! You know what happened to your bike now. I had the same prob with my wifes Mio before when I was playing around with the shocks...it just falls over sometimes!!
