Cleaned up my soldering. Will not solder next time while drinking beer and in bad light. Checked power and it was showing 5 volts at the chip. Need to get some more connectors to continue trying to get a read. Should be able to get some more tomorrow. So may have a better update tomorrow night.

Nice bro keep updating.. 
New CDI arrived today, started pulling it apart. I am only drilling to expose the pads that are required to read and write to the chip. I have cut two holes so far but am hopping that in the future I will only have to cut one hole. forgot about the water absorbing stuff put in the blue silicon that made it little hard to expose the pads. I will hopefully have a better update after the weekend.
One issue that may arise in the future will be how to water proof the hole while still allowing the chip to be flashed. If anyone has any aftermaket CDI's they want to sell for a reaonable price let me know. I am curious to see what is inside some of them and how they work.
