Guys any suggestions on having this kind of materials rather than changing or removing our stock airbox and put

a highflow airfilter? 5 Steps away !!

Step 1 :

Remove Stock paper filter element

Step 2 :

Put 2 - 3 plies of orig Scotch Brite Souring pad

Step 3 :

Tie down each sides from left to right just to secure the whole pads and prevent it from air leakage.

Step 4 :

Adjust or tune again your carb for optimum air/fuel mixture

Step 5 :

Test Run !!


Pros n Cons :

- Dont know if it is sufficient to deliver clean air and how long till it gets dirty. (everyday use)

-Wash able via Air Compressor / Water power washers (just like we use to see in carwash bays)

- Guaranteed that will last long. Made by 3m Scouring pads





Any Suggestions..? Pics to be follow Medyo kinatamaran ko na magbaklas eh..

Im using it since my orig stock paper element has been removed. 2 yrs ago !! :D

Nice DIY sir, i have some questions regarding this scouring pads.
1. How about the residues or what we called "himolmol". Did you remove it or clean it first?
2. Then during the installation did you put some sealant? For holding and prevent leak purposes.
Because I'm planning also to fabricate this 1, am just waiting for anyone who've already done this. So now maybe I can start. hehehe :)

yupp!! just before i install it nagcgurado na ako.

may mga factory dust or residue na cannot be seen by ur eyes. So.......

i washed it w/ a power washer for residues and blow it w/ air compressor for it to dry and remove excess presence of humidity.. :D

For airtight procedures may two tie down clips akong nilagay and for no leakage i cut the whole pad with oversize measurement at siniksik ko xa both sides..

Pcnxa for pics. kulang kulang pa dpa kce ako mkapag baklas ng tormuts ko eh..

at pcnxa na din sa uploaded pics corel did that !!

What do u mean itest sa gas.? u mean itubog sa gas ( gasoline ) ?

Ive been using it for the past 1 1/2 year. dati kce wala naman best alternative like k&n high airflow eh
so i created one .also i use to do this at my mazda 323 and lancer glxi parehas lang po sila efi

mga bro ako 1 1/2 yrs ko na din gamit scothbrigth sa airfilter ko wala naman problema 2 pads nilagay ko,,basta original lang gagamitin nyo,yung sa palenke nabibili walang balot,nagpupulbos yun,

na try ko mga bossing ung scouring pad na may manipis na foam para masala yung mga fibers ng scour pad, pero parang sakal sya so balik scour pad lang, yung nanipis at di gaanong magaspang.. so far ok ang acceleration ko.regarding the gas issue medyo mataas naman yun para abutin ng gas... ay english pala dapat dito... ride safe...

e2 po....Scouring pads are the greenish side of the whole dishwashing pad
The yellowish thing are the foam that we use to apply a soap on our dishes..

Sakal po talaga pag kasama ang foam. search for the scouring pads only made by 3m
wala po ito kasamang foam like the one i showed above.
2 plies po nito or 3 i guess ok na. atleast 90% of airdust can be caught using this one.

hmmh..i'll buy this one (3m scouring pads)para ma try din..open kasi ginagawa ko..pero evry month naman ang linis sa carb.

kung every month tpos everyday use dba prang delikado un? mas mainam cguro fafi kung bbli ka nlng nung 3m mura lang nmn ung
compare to other inside parts na pde masira due to an open carb.

so far ive finished fabricating this bandido's scouring pad filter. hehehe,, and its just like youre running on an open carb.:),,

may nabili akong air filter.. 100 petot lang..mukha siyang stock .. pero natatangal yung likod kasi may screw..so ginawa ko.. ginawa ko lang 12 spaces para maging hi-flow.hihihi
will post pics pag may time..^^,

yung kinuhanan kong store sa kahilera ng tyreone sa 10th ave.

galing mo bandido,@monoshock pareho tayo ng nabiling airfilter,tinanggal ko yung paper element scothbrite nilagay ko,yung stock ko tinago ko na lang:)
