Just want to share this info to you guys, the fully synthetic and semi synthetic oils are not good for wet sump clutch engines such as ours... The only reason we recommend it to our engines are, first, if you want quicker acceleration, second, high aggressive responses w/ less tension from your engine, higher rpm and lastly the circulation of the oil is much faster because the viscosity and the thickness is not as much as the 20-50w BUT these types of requirements are only good for oil that will be use for a very short period of time such as, a maximum of 50laps in a standard race circuit or at a max of 150kms total run for high rpm drag races... The main factor as to why the standard viscosity oils are used for stock daily use engines is, to protect the clutch discs (friction plate and other mechanism such as the crank, transmission) and other mechanicals inside the engine... As for Castrol oils, we only used it on our 2Stroke scooters as well as Agip, because as per experience, Castrol is causing intense high temperature when used on our T135s' as well as other 4Stroke UBs'. So, I will not be promoting brands here like you guys do but, what I can advise is for us to use standard oils for daily use but for race purposes go for fully synt but change it after the race. Oh BTW, the fully synth oil can also be use when to get the dirt and other foreign objects inside the engine. For example, I changed my transmission but foreign objects like sand and dirt can petrate the oil lines and crankcase especially if you have an open carb... So, to be able to get rid of those unwanted foreign objects, what I did is clean the engine w/ compressor of course but instead of using 20-50w, I used the semi synth so that it can easily disintegrate the dirt and sand inside the oil line... Run the engine at a max of 150kms on the ODO then changed it while flushing w/ air comp... Never use Diesel or Gas to soak the engine when cleaning just use gas with brush when crankcase is open on both side because when engine is soaked on Gas or Diesel, this will damage the side bearings, transmission, oil seal etc... Stop doing the old practice done by some people who call themselves mechanics, hehehe... Anyway, if you have other useful and informative topics guys, keep posting it, it sure helps... TIA and ride safe brothers...
