Just thinkin.
So, we have to determine our riding style and the track, then get get the appropriate tyres. When the style changed, so do the tyres.
Safer right, he he he :) :)
now that TRUE if u ride hardcore u need the best u can get if u ride normal u just need normal tyres :D

Again, u are right cryp! But if u have the budget, go for a semi soft tires. good 4 a wet & dry road, good for a hi speed & normal driving: though not very good for our pockets! hehehe

cause u have havier tyres now and need more time to reach the top speed u had before
and that's one of the dilema of changing wider tires! but u can always buy a performance kit for your ride hilmi! 8)

Hehe more grip less speed is quite logical.
But maybe some of us have different experiences. :)

Actually it is the reversed, more grip more speed, because at high speed we wont so easily skid the tyre.

Jain's problem is because his tyre is heavier than stock, and the front tyre has more grip. We can achieve higher speed only if the driving wheel has more grip.

Let's say, if we use stock size, with Dunlop TT900 on the rear. The front remain 70/90 stock tyre stock grip. Definitely we can gain a bit more top speed provided the engine is powerful enough :)

I've just checked out Viva 90/80. It's grip is pretty good, slightly better than Duro when i rub my finger on it. The price is around RM90 (USD27). He said 80/80 tyre is rare size, usually people use 70/90 on the front. 80/80 tyre cost RM80 (USD24). Viva brand also.

Your place got any big shop with a lot of rim and tyre varieties? In Georgetown area I saw a big shop, dunno about the pricing though =P

you can use the same tire 80/90 for the front.
i have the 90/80 tube type for my front and 100/90 in the rear tubeless. the rim of the tire is the same. you can use the tire with out a tube only for mag type rims. not spoke type rims.
