I also rmoved the thing shown above. 4 years from now. no bad effect to my mc till now.. always using my mc to a long distance ride (12okm a day ) and race everytime...

its easy bro... just unscrew the 2 bolt & take out the cover + unit (pics above) also carefully remove the rubber gasket to re-use it when you box the cover back + hi temp sealant... and its done!

how about the coolant level bro...is their a possible to be discharge faster..TIA

i forgot! 
first drain the coolant before opening the thermostat cover... otherwise it will be messy...

I've checked the coolant level after sometime now & its still the same...

last 2009 i remember remove also my thermostat and until now is in good condition !easy cooled and relaxing engine! no need wait the hot engine to flowing the liquid coolant via thermostat..
