Understanding CDI's error message

thats why you need to get a Y connector to connect both CDI's so you can use all functions for your OEM performance with the aftermarket CDI.

Or just get the New Xbox II, come compatable with stock CDI. atleast thats what i have heard.

Guys, hope can you give me some pointers here.
Here's my situation....I changed my stock CDI to BRT Dual Band. Everytime I turned on my bike the red lamp blinked three times...does this means my TS is broken because before I changed my CDI the red lamp only blink once.

try to unplug the CDI and see if the pins are dirty, maybe use some compressed air to blow into the male side of the pins not the female side, as you could blow dirt farther into the female end. see if that works, also check your thermostat plug, do the same as above for the cdi.

lastly check the wires around the engine to see if any got melted or bear and touching the frame.

bro goff

really thanks for all the advice...today will send my bike to the shop i bought and call them to do all this step....

i also suspect the wiring or the CDI problem...but the mech insist that is my engine oil....

the mechanic will most likely insist it's your engine because it's more expensive to work on the engine than just to do the most simplest check of everything else.

thats there technique $$$$

bro...my bike still under warranty from Yamaha...less then 1 year bike...so i think the mech will just send my bike there..unless they wan to check the bike first then only bring there...

the problem start when i change the head light bulb....because of that...the CDI got effected...so after reset the CDI and also unplug the TS...all the problem gone....
