Whats The Difference Racing Gear Set (tranny Set) At Gear Set 1,2, & 4??

wide ratio is good for long highway rides. close ratio is good for drag, super street use. there are alot of ratios available in the market.
gear 1- 34/12, 33/12, 32/12, 31/12, 34/13, 33/13, 32/13, 31/13, 32/14, 31/14, 31/15.
gear 2- 30/16, 29/16, 28/16, 30/17, 29/17, 25/18, 27/19.
gear 3- 23/17, 22/17, 22/18, 21/19, 25/18.
gear 4- 23/22, 23/21, 22/21, 22/22, 22/20, 23/20, 23/26.
take your pick....
yet again aside from changing the transmission ratio you could also change the primary gear ratio from 69/24-2.875 (stock) to 72/22-3.273 (aftermarket).
take your best combination...

here's my tranny set ,a sample of after market tranny in whole set, (faito)

gear 1 13/32
gear 2 17/29
gear 3 17/22
gear 4 21/22
a touring bike or an everyday bike they called do we really need this primary gear upgrade?
and some said this is much easier to do instead of opening the crankcase and change the tranny set, hmmm...
the prize of primary is closer to tranny set , in my opinion i go for tranny set first before the primary instead and
lots of combination we can got, but its your call you can do both guys its all about money and brain he he he

regarding the ikk clutch gear the answer to your question is yes and no. if you love riding in highways keep the stock primary gear ratio. it has more top speed and more versatile.

what is the real good combination in wide ratio..
my plan is wide ratio.. gear 1 . gear 2 . and gear 4 set only... no #3 and no counter gear..
so plan is wide ratio... and in quick accelration and get to max speed in 400 to 500meters... ended in setting engine sprocket and the back sprocket.. someone can help me in gear combination? gear 1 , 2, 4... except 3rd gear...

and its for xrm 110cc... loaded 54 , big valves , high lift cams , stroke 2mm , 28mm carb etc

Hey Guys,
Couldn't understand the 1st page but this is better has anyone tried changing the gears in the 5spd Yamaha,
what my problem is, I never use 1st gear i use to sometimes on stock bore but now with a big bore i just use 2nd when starting, and i am planing on adding more stroke so my 1st gear will be pointless!!!!

So I haven't pulled my gearbox apart before but was wondering if i can change my gearbox to the following.

1st gear = original 2nd gear
2nd gear = original 3rd gear
3rd gear = nearly the the original 4th gear but a little bit shorter
4th gear = quiet a lot shorter then the orginal 5th gear
5th gear = a little bit wider then the original 5th gear

Any body can recomend the best brand Gears, i want light weight and Strong!
i like CMS but if there is anything better i dont mind paying for it !

4mm jack up crank coming up soon,
it will need better gearing!
