rhen i used ecs by petron pero kapag mag start ako sa umaga parang palyado
then i tried gold from caltext mukang hiyang ng motor ko..
Umm, sorry but I can't understand all the posts not in English. Using unleaded and leaded fuel does not have much to do with having a catalytic converter. Of course leaded fuel will mess up a catalytic converter but it will also mess up your valves and how they seat.
Back in the old days before lead was outlawed in the US, that was the cheapest way that refiners could boost the octane of the gasoline to meet the octane specs. A little bit of lead boosts the octane of gasoline a tremendous amount.
What lead does is it coats your valves and internal components of your engine. Engines were made differently when lead was used. The lead coating of your engine's internals would help seal stuff and lubricate. Without lead, Engine makers now have to make internal engine components of different materials and harder to compensate for not having the lead coating.
Engines today and designed to run on unleaded fuel. If you use leaded fuel then you’ll coat your valves with lead and they won’t seal properly. Bottom line is you’ll mess up your motor if you run leaded gas for an extended period of time.
Using leaded gas just so you can have a high octane isn’t going to make a performance difference and it will mess up your motor. Unless you have a really old motor that was built to run on leaded fuel, one that was built before they took lead out of gasoline. Or if you want to overhaul your motor on a regular basis like the racers do.
I don’t know exactly much about the components used to build motors these days, but I’ve worked in an oil refinery making gasoline for the past 18 years. So I know a lot about gasoline and all that technical stuff.
