How's your seat? My butt's been burning in long rides ever since I installed the shifter. Such pain in the ass!

bro just adjust the angle of the rearset...
if its fixed and not adjustable, thats the problem.
but theres way to adjust that.. relocate the upper bolt
to adjust its angle...

my r6 shifter is installed in a way its convenient on my height
and its comfy feeling. its like im not using rearset at all and feels
like using the stock footpegs

so setup it at your comfy feeling position

ryanismo, just down load the service manual, and look for the handle bars page 28, the nut you want to loosen is #9.

you have to remove the head light, front head light cover panel and dash panel cover, then loosen up the nut on the head set to the steering down tube. then align and tighten.

What is the nut on the head? Is it the one in the middle of the handle bar?

nope its located just above the t post..

I see... I think I need to take it to a mechanic, just to be sure.

How do I relocate it? By drilling holes on the chassis? I couldn't possibly do that! It hurts, you know?

Thats right this is an X1R. the nut should be on top.

I think I also need to have a paint job. I got semplang with Cecille. Remember her? :twisted: I drove with one hand because the other one is busy on her... Hahaha! I regret it, though.

Solved! Took my bike to YAMAHA and the mechanic adjusted the right handle bar with two allen wrenches. That's why it seemed aligned but it didn't feel like it. Now, it feels good to rev again! Good job!

By the way, the repair was for free... Hehehe!

Sniper is good, X1R is better. :twisted:

Check out Deka on 6th Ave.. They got carbon fiber body kits. You can buy 'em per piece. Order basis, as well.
