Sounds like fun, we were going to do north loop the end of August but we had a situation arise here so trip postponed a bit.Wow... We will be at pagudpud either this end of september or 2nd week of october...
Too bad! and Too late for not viewing this post prior to our ride! we are from Antipolo and based on the research it would only take 4-5 hours from Manila to get there in Beler. What the Heck? It took us 10 hours! We are a group of 5 and decided to go to Baler via Southern route. Our Take off around 2AM August 30 with non-stop rain pouring in the major part of Luzon, we are still eager to continue because it was planned already. In pursuing Southern route i think we're still in bongabon luckily for us that there was a Tricycle driver who warned us not to continue and take the alternate route which is in Rizal Nueva ecija, small motorcycles are not able to pass by the rising river due to continues rain. (sabi ni manong) and we all agreed to follow the instructions and we took the Northern route. My estimate travel is around 3 a half hour from Rizal Nueva Ecija to Baler we are running 60-80kph. We stayed overnight in baler and the next morning it was sunny Sunday which is the best to try Surfing. 12nn we decided to leave the place and ready to go home. since it was sunny already we are thinking of taking southern route i could say that this is the Worst road you could ever imagined. (Me with my Snipee, MX125fi, Honda Zoomer X, VegaForce, and Suzuki Shogun Pro) when we crossed the river the 3 Yamahas were still good while the Zoomer X and Shogun Pro was drowned that engine is not starting already. after 15 minutes of kicking the Kick Start we are really thanking God that it starts!! after more than 6 hours of travel on that ridiculous road but very nice views of Mountains we finally made it to Cabanatuan.

Just saw this thread again and it brought back a lot of memories. I was so proud of my missues (Vegalover - here on the board) as she handled every obstacle including all the sloppy mud without dropping the Sniper even once....here are some photos
