an ordinary oil filter here in bulacan costs 100 pesos and the genuine is 170 pesos. I had my bike tuned up this afternoon. changed the engine oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plug, coolant, adjust the valve clearance, cleaned the carb, adjust the timing chain and the TPS.
damn! its like riding a new bike again! better than before.

The first thing you will notice between the two is their viscosity. Motul 5100 is 15w50 while Motul Htec is 10w40. And based from the label, HTec is a synthetic based oil while 5100 is 100% Synthese (contains Ester). I almost used Motul HTec but my mechanic told me that it's too soon for my mc to use full synthetic based oil because my odometer reading is just 1000 back then. So I still stick with Mineral Based oil of Motul.

ahh ok, so whats your ODO reading now?! mine is almost 10K. so that i will know if i can use the synthetic oil.

Okies... i'll try that one. Ill be tuning up my bike this sunday already contacted my couzin who is a mechanic and he said we will just change the oil and oil filter... and he will tune it up. I forgot to ask him if we also need to change the spark plug...

hey guys dunno how to post pic here.. hehehe. rspayumo was right. the reason why mechanis dont want to use fully synthetic during break-in this will not make the piston ring sit perfectly to the bore coz in break-in we need to scrape excess metal from the bore. thats why we need to change oil to drain all metal chips from the engine after break-in. Hey coorect me guys if im wrong... :roll:

The Best Viscosity level for Engine Oil
I'm currently had been using 300V 4T FACTORYLINE 5W40 for more than 4 liters already. But, I'm still wondering about the best viscosity level of engine oil for our beloved T135. I'm a long distance rider, usually ride home from university for about 450km++ per journey, which takes about 4 and half an hours, with constant full throttle of course, once or twice per month. My speedometer usually clocked on 150km/h on average. So the question again, to all T135 pros here, what level of engine oil viscosity is best suited for my style of riding?

I see.. Thanks for you opinion again.. So you are saying that 5W40 is just nice for the high speed cruising.. Now I'll just stick to this type of viscosity. Going to order more of this type of oil >.<

tried and tested - castrol power1 racing 10W-50 fully synthetic oil.

Motul 300v 10w40..is it true that your change oil maintenance will be every 5000 kms when you are using this oil?? and is it true that this oil cost 1.5k+??
