thats true bro.. majority of n racers uses that kind of engine oil..

it's a real downer that we cant get motul or repsol in maldives...sure would love to check out the difference between these everyday junk and a high performance oil :D

i'm using motul 10W-40 engine smooth and doesn't have any problem until now. i did ask mechanic which spec is good for our bike, this what they suggest:

1) 0 - 5 years old bike = 0W or 5W
2) 5 - 10 years old bike = 10W
3) 10 - 15 years old bike = 15W and above

whether 40 or 50 it depends, if u shoetr distance traveller suitable for u to use 40 and if u long distance traveller recommended to use 50 because it can withstand high tempreture :mrgreen:

The T135 is a liquid cooled bike so unless you are racing the bike every day on the street, 15Wxx and 20Wxx oils are overkilled. In all of Asia, 5W40 and 10W40 are perfect. For long distance cruising, 10W30 is even better for fuel economy.

I'm using CEPSA moto 20W50, 4T mineral-base lubricant. This product is imported from Madrid, Spain. I've used this lubricant at my 1st and 2nd change oil already (500km and 1000km). Based on the forums, during break-in of our mc, we should use mineral-base lubricant and not semi or fully synthetic. This product is cheaper than our local brands and provides good performance. :D

Available at San Jose Baliwag, Bulacan.

its only API SG
this oil is ancient spec :shock:

the newest spec has gone to SM i think, probably newer spec now

You don't need SM in our T135. SG would be a better choice due to the higher ZPDP content. Also, a lot of SM oils are not JASO certified.

now i use total Grand Prix..forgot what its ?w?? reading..but i try this oil from KL to Kedah approx 340km and after a week i came to KL back..it also make my bike seem lighter than before...
i change every 1 month..
huhuh...

although my bike seems like it suck bit by bit my oil..and i have to topup every 1 week...

after i use this Total...i noticed that it seem like it stop sucking my oil..hahaha..if u could understand me..huhu..

before this i use motul..10w40..it great also..superb...

Anyway, about the viscosity level, should I stick with 5W40? Or should I change to 10W40 or 15W50?
Which will you suggest for me who are both long distance cruiser and for regular around the campus and city stroll usage.

The T135 is liquid cool so 5W40 is the best choice for all around usage. Unless you race your bike I would stay away from any 50WT oil or you will loose fuel economy.

Anyway I'm planning on putting FZi's 57mm block soon.
Meaning my bike will undergone major modification.
So should I stick to 5W40? Or use 10W40 instead?
And what are the different between 5W40 and 10W40?
Motul 300V Factory Line 5W40 and 10W40 price different
are around RM10 >.<
