when you change your CDI you must also change thevalve spring to prevent valve float when overrevv..
Sir may i ask what happens if my mc will experience valve float due to overrevv? I newly instal BRT hyperband on my SMX. TIA

it will kiss...for short "tungkod" if you over rev...
for example:
stock cdi 12,000rpm + stock valve spring 12,000rpm both are compatible
Racing cdi 15,000rpm + stock valve spring 12,000rpm = valve float if over rev
*stock valve spring can't take the 15,000rpm of your Racing cdi..
racing cdi and after market valve spring goes hand in hand bro...

savvy?

ur brother is right, f your using Rcdi change ur valvesprings as what john_carlo have said & papa ice,,
this msg goes to you aswell renR400...
rvalve springs is a must when ur using rcdi..

take this note;
basic steps of performance level of motorcycle
1st open pipe,
2nd racing cdi -when install take it easy dont over rev..
3rd racing valvesprings - when install rev freely, no worries..

4th racing clutchsprings..

ur friends bike is still ok, if still runs it means its healthy when its stop its busted, f valve springs breaks ur engine stops( base on experience )... i dont know if its still runs when u still push through,, dont wait that a problem well emerge act quickly.. :)

here in our place, we have a friend with smx, we have remove his stock valve&clucth springs, and have install rsprings & rcdi but his on stock pipe, maybe next month were gonna install pipe, cams then remove comp assy,, soooon maybe..;)
