Hi guys, early morning 6am today I tried running side by side with my friend's Perodua Kancil to check the accuracy of my speedometer. Although it might have some error in the car speedo itself, hopefully this can give you a general idea on how fake our speedo are
Left : Perodua Kancil speedo
Right : Yamaha T135 speedo
40kph = near to 50kph
50kph = exactly 60 kph
60kph = slightly over 70kph
70kph = near to 85 kph
80kph = slightly over 95kph
The conclusion is, we have about 20% at every single speed. Hence, running at 120kph on our speedo = ~100kph actual speed, while 160kph = ~133kph.
From traxxas-modifier thread
here
We can actually estimate how far our max speed can go for each gear on our speedometer
1st gear : 55kph (actual 45kph)
2nd gear : 85kph (actual 70kph)
3rd gear : 115kph (actual 96kph)
4th gear : 160kph? (actual 133kph)
* note: yesterday night i get a chance to compare my speedo with my friend's new Honda City. When I get 70kph he is running slightly less than 60kph. (about 20% difference too).
If you guys have any comparison, please share out to everybody
